Michael D. Cerveris, DMD
Meet Dr. Cerveris
I cannot imagine a day at this office ever being “work”; rather, each day is an opportunity to improve someone’s smile, alleviate their discomfort, or simply put them at ease.
I come from a family of talented individuals that included two dentists: my dad and my Uncle Ernie. As a teenager, working in my father’s practice, I was able to see the gratitude of the patient, to watch how their lives were transformed as a result of the dental care they received. In graduate school, I chose to study comprehensive reconstruction because it allowed a multitude of treatment options that improve not only function, but also caused dramatic, positive change. I love being a dentist and watching the smile that hasn’t been seen in years emerge for the first time. Over the years, I have had the opportunity to meet so many wonderful people, and the friendships that I’ve built with my patients and their families are one in a million. It has always been my focus to make each patient feel at home when they come to me for treatment and I work hard to give my patients the attention they deserve.
Personally and professionally, I consider myself a problem solver. In the dental profession, there is never a shortage of problems to solve. Educating patients about the importance and necessity of comprehensive dental care is one of my biggest challenges. My treatment options always meet the standard of care, which often means maintaining dentition rather than completely overhauling it. Not everyone can afford expensive bridgework, implant restorations, or major cosmetic makeovers. By being creative and flexible in treatment options, many tough dental problems can be overcome to meet each patient’s individual needs.
- Bachelor of Science, biology, Bucknell University
- Doctorate of Dental Medicine, University of Pittsburgh School of Dental Medicine
- Prosthodontic residency, University of Pittsburgh School of Dental Medicine
Since graduation, I have continually sought out opportunities to expand my knowledge of emerging technologies and treatment options in medicine and dentistry. It is imperative that I stay current with such developments in order to provide the best, proven options for my patients. Therefore, I regularly attend continuing education courses offered through lectures, seminars, and conferences.

Commitment to Community
I am truly blessed to live and work in such a wonderful community. I enjoy getting to know my patients and their families, and it is such an honor to know that I have made a difference in so many of my patients’ lives. I couldn’t ask for a better job or for better people sharing their smiles with me. I look forward to working with you.
