Meet Our Team
It is extremely satisfying to know that you are helping someone, and I experience that every day here at our practice. I love working with our patients, getting to know them and their families, learning about their lives and interests and, along the way, building relationships that often become friendships. As a dental hygienist, I perform dental cleanings, including applying fluoride treatments and sealants, and taking X-rays. I also administer local anesthesia and perform periodontal scaling. A lot of my time is spent interacting with patients, talking about good home oral hygiene practices and how to keep their teeth and gums in great shape between visits.
When I’m not working, I spend my time with my husband Nate, and our Chihuahua, Annabelle. In January 2016, we welcomed our first child to the world, Edith Paige. My hobbies and interests include distance running, knitting, and reading.
I love making children giggle when I tickle their teeth with my tickle toothbrush. And I equally enjoy helping our patients relax while they are with us, seeing to it that they are comfortable, talking with them about their anxieties, and reassuring them that their treatment will be painless. I also like teaching people about the importance of their dental health and how it relates to their whole body health. My daily duties include performing dental prophylaxis, administering fluoride treatments and applying sealants, performing oral cancer screenings, taking radiographs, reviewing patient medical and dental histories, scheduling appointments, and sterilizing instruments, equipment, and treatment areas. I also offer oral hygiene instruction.
Away from the office, you’ll likely find me enjoying the outdoors and spending time with my family, including my husband Daryl and three sons, John, Paul, and Luke. We have a Jack Russell Terrior named Chips. I play hand bells at our church and am active in the church community.
The best part of my job is interacting with and getting to know new people, while helping them with their dental care needs. After having worked here since 2011, many of the patients have come to know me and it always surprises and delights me when they come in for an appointment and remember what has been going on in my life. I work in our front office and greet patients by name as they come through the practice doors. I also take patient phone calls, make appointments for our doctors and occasionally work on the hygiene schedules. When a patient’s appointment is finished, I check them out. Billing and insurance matters are also a part of my job duties.
My personal life is very family-focused. My husband Adam and I have two little boys, Kaleb and Beckett, and an Italian Greyhound, Duke. When I’m not working, I enjoy spending time with family and friends. And when I can find time, I enjoy various crafting projects.
With over 26 years of experience in the field of dentistry, I joined the Chambersburg Family Dentistry team in 2013. As a dental assistant, I work directly with our patients during many of their procedures, and make sure that Drs. Cerveris and Wolter have everything they need to provide our patients with top-quality care. I’ve very much enjoyed getting to know all our patients, and working with them to restore and maintain their smiles.
Outside the office, I love spending time with my husband, John, and our family. We enjoy traveling, and curling up with a good book is my favorite thing to do in my down time.
I started working at Chambersburg Family Dentistry in 2015. As the office manager, I keep the day to day office operations running smoothly. I take care of financial aspects of the business and help with the duties at the front desk. The best part of my job is working with patients and seeing the smiles on patient's faces.
When I am not working, I love spending time with my husband, Audie, and our two children, Abigail and Gavin. We also have one dog, Duke. We enjoy camping and any outdoor activities.
